大塘湾 在徐闻县东南部龙塘镇沿海，东至白水塘角西至朋角，略呈弯月形，东西长4800米，宽约500米，底多砂砾，沿海岸多为悬崖峭壁，下海港一带为泥沙质底，是琼州海峡船只过往要冲，由于海洋渔业资源的逐渐萎竭和渔民的转业，本地渔农已改为深水鲍鱼养殖和对虾属养殖、南药高良姜种植等行业。
